Overview:
IDE Overview
Partigen adds quite a few enhancements to the Flash IDE that make creating particles effects quick, easy, and code-less. Each of these works together to create a particle effect synergy that's only available with Partigen.
The following parts make up the Partigen IDE:

This tool is used to create emitters with ease. You can use this tool to create emitters, as well as dragging the emitter component from the Components panel.

These 2 components are found in the Components panel under Partigen. These are the items places on the stage to use the engine.

This is the panel used to configure Partigen and enter licensing information.

This is the panel used to configure emitters from within the IDE.

This panel is used to store and load emitter presets and to load the particles required for the effects.
AS Overview
While Partigen features a powerful interface for Flash, it also features a powerhouse scripting side. Everything you can do with the IDE and much more can be done with ActionScript.
Some of the ActionScript features include:
- Code hinting for all 3 classes
- Code coloring for all 3 classes
- Full documentation on all methods, properties and events
- Full access to emitters created via the IDE
- Quick and easy debugging and troubleshooting thanks to advanced output reporting

Trial Mode
Partigen is one of the only Flash components available to offer a fully-functional trial. This is the result of the new Desuade Licensing Platform integrated with Partigen.
Trial overview:
- 15 day fully-functional trial
- All swfs are published with a watermark
- All swfs published during the trial will break after the 15 days are up and display an error message
- Easily convert the trial to a full version and remove watermark by entering serial information and activating the product
If you want to continue using Partigen after the trial period, you must purchase a license.

Purchasing a license will enable you to use Partigen past the trial period and remove will the watermark, as well as fixing any swfs made during the trial period by republishing.
You will receive an email with your serial and licensing information. Once you received this, follow the instructions to activate Partigen to convert this trial to a full licensed product.
Activating
To use Partigen after the trial period, you must purchase and activate a license. The activation system is powered by the Desuade Licensing Platform and allows you to activate and deactivate your license on any copy of Partigen to allow you to use transfer your licenses to various computers.
Note: You only need to do this once on your copy of Partigen as your licensing information is saved for every project on your computer.
Remember: Every time you add a Partigen component to the stage, you must load the parameters pane for it to load the licensing information. All you have to do is have the panel load, this will load your licensing automatically. Otherwise, it will default to trial mode each time.
- Place and select the Partigen component on the stage and click the License button:
- Enter your name, email, and serial number into their respective text fields exactly as provided to you and press OK. You should see the status text turn yellow to show your information was correct:
- To activate Partigen, make sure you are connected to the internet and click Activate. You should see the status text turn green to show it has been activated:
